Queens
Museum of the Moving Image One of our favorite places in Queens. There are a ton of
interactive exhibits and this is a fun visit even for those
who aren’t huge movie/TV people. Website Map
The Noguchi Museum A museum and sculpture garden in the Long Island City section
of Queens, New York City, designed and created by the
Japanese-American sculptor Isamu Noguchi. Website Map
Manhattan
The Guggenheim Fantastic modern gallery and one of the most memorable
buildings in NYC. Website Map
The Met Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York City, colloquially
"the Met", is the largest art museum in the Western
Hemisphere. Its permanent collection contains over two million works, divided among

The Whitney The Whitney focuses on 20th- and 21st-century American

The MoMA Huge collection of modern art and it is considered one of the
largest and most influential museums of modern art in the world. Website Map
The American Museum of Natural History The museum complex comprises 26 interconnected buildings
housing 45 permanent exhibition halls, in addition to a

The Cloisters The Cloisters, also known as the Met Cloisters, is a museum
in Fort Tryon Park in Washington Heights, Manhattan, New
York City, specializing in European medieval art and architecture, with a focus on the
Romanesque and Gothic periods. Website Map
Brooklyn
The Brooklyn Museum At 560,000 square feet, the museum is New York City's second
largest and holds an art collection with roughly 500,000

New York Transit Museum A museum that displays historical artifacts of the New York
City Subway, bus, and commuter rail systems in the greater

Socrates Sculpture Park Socrates Sculpture Park is an outdoor museum and public park
where artists can create and exhibit sculptures and

Gantry Park Check out beautiful views of the Manhattan skyline Website Map
Manhattan
The High Line This is free and runs on the west side of Manhattan from 30th
St through Gansevoort St. You can start anywhere and you
don't need to walk the full length of the park. It does look like they require
reservations on weekends and holidays

Staten Island Ferry Take the Staten Island Ferry from the Financial District (the
southern tip of Manhattan) to Staten Island and back for
good views of the Statue of Liberty for free. Website Map
The Strand Check out the Strand, a very big bookstore that's an NYC
institution. It's near Union Square. Website Map

Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden - Astoria An old-school Czech beer garden that’s more than 100 years
